We raise Highland Cattle for their ability to thrive. They are a true heritage breed of cattle with one of the oldest herd books. Our highlands are registered with AHCA. They are also beautiful to watch graze on the pasture. We have a white Highland bull who has his fold to watch over.
FUN FACT: Both male and female Highlands have horns, the males grow outward and the females turn up.
We raise Galloway Cattle to cross with our Highland bull to produce future heifers for just starting out or growing farms and steers to produce meat to feed our family and yours.
We are looking to grow our registered herd of Galloways as well! Both Highlands and Galloways are native to Scotland.
We also raise HighParks. We love their markings and they are a great addition to the farm. We started with this cross for our meat production and still use the bull calves for that purpose.
We have added to our flock Katahdin and Katahdin/Dorper crosses. These guys are hair sheep and will be part of our grazing program. Plus we will sell lambs and meat from them. Since they are hair sheep they have no lanolin and have better tasting meat. Crossing these two brings out the best in both breeds plus you benefit for heterosis, commonly known as hybrid vigor. We are excited to add to the new flock and see how they grow.
We sell pasture raised pork to our customers and we use it in our Food Truck Hoof & Feather BBQ. These guys enjoy running around rooting around and are provide supplement feed. Their meat is more nutrient dense because they are soaking up the rays and running around eating what they were intended to eat!
Please consider helping our family farm grow. With any donations over $50 you will get a Wolf Creek Highlands Farm T-Shirt.

Our farm does not lay any claim to raising "minis". We strive for the breed standards in both the Highland and Galloway breeders pages. We do have pairings that will throw smaller than average. Also we have found that Mini Highlands are often crossed with another breed to make them smaller. We just suggest that you do your research and are open to answering any questions you my have.
Most all of our animals are sold as weaned calves or lambs. So yes they will get bigger and they will need enough land to graze and/or be supplemented with hay. All baby animals are cute and look very lovable. But they all grow up and you have to remember they are herd animals and livestock. Our bull likes us but he might not like you. And even though we have raised them since weaning age we never turn our back and never come between them and a cow in heat!
The short answer is no. I will not pull a calf or lamb from a mother to sell. They need their mother's milk to thrive and her to teach them how to be a cow or sheep. We only have bottle babies if something happened, mother passed, baby rejected, not enough milk supply or sick. The only time I would ever even consider to sell one of those babies is if we don't have time to care for it or we know and trust the person to take care of the animal. A bottle baby is a huge commitment with your time, emotions and your purse!
We do not at the moment offer our farm tours. We are looking for more pasture for the cattle to graze. Once we find a place we will consider revisting the farm tours. But we do offer informational classes upon request.
We will post animals that are available, once we go through our waitlist for animals. We do remove you from the list once you pass on two animals. We require a deposit. You will receive an invoice for the animal. If you change your mind money will be refunded once animal is resold. We understand there are scammers out there but we too have been on the receiving end of a purchase and buyers not show up. We accept cash and card for animal deposits and purchases.
